Etsusa Bridge (越佐大橋シリーズ, Etsusa Ōhashi Shirīzu) is a light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda; the series is complete with four volumes and one short story anthology. At the center of a long, incomplete bridge that connects Sado Island to Niigata floats a nameless artificial island-city whose construction was abandoned shortly before completion. Although it is illegal to reside in the island, myriad societal dropouts, exiles, and castaways comprise its ecosystem and the series' cast: these are the stories of the abandoned children who scurry within the island's depths; the gangster organizations that jostle for power and the brave volunteers who keep the peace; the killers, the detectives, the mad dogs, and all who cohabitate the scrapshackle heap.
With the bulk of the series taking place circa 2019–2021, Etsusa Bridge is one of the later chronological entries in the Naritaverse—an unofficial name for the universe in which Etsusa Bridge takes place—alongside Narita's light novel series Baccano!, Durarara!!, Vamp!, his novel Wednesdays Smiling with Otsuberu, and his serial novel Pandora Shark.
